There are three different subscription plans offered. You can receive courses weekly for $20 a month, bi-weekly for $13 a month, or one course per month for $8, until you decide to cancel which you can do at anytime

To join, simply click on the paypal link below the course you want to take. You will then be taken to the paypal website where you can complete the subscription payment info. After that is completed, you will be redirected to the registration page for the course. No need to click the ‘back’ button on your browser during this process. Once back at the registration page, if you already have a login ID, you can login with that ID. If you don’t have an ID, you can create one there. After you then login, you will be on the first lesson page of your new course.

Each new lesson will be made available based on the plan you choose, automatically. If you ever decide to unsubscribe, you will retain access to any lesson that you have already paid for, and after that if you ever decide to resubscribe, you will begin where you left off. We will be working on building our Cape Breton repertoire in fiddle friendly keys like A, D, and G. In addition to learning tunes, we will take a close look at the structure of tunes to help you internalize them. We will use exercises to help develop your ear and technique. We will cover basic stylistic characteristics in each tune, with the goal of making them feel more natural. If you have only a bit of experience with the instrument, this course is for you. One of my goals is to help improve your overall technique to help you fiddle more efficiently.

In the advanced course, we will eventually cover tunes in more difficult keys like F major, C major, and B flat major. The advanced course goes beyond the beginner course with more in-depth coverage of bowings and ornaments commonly heard in the Cape Breton style. You will be suited for this course if you have a competent knowledge of the instrument, whether or not you are from a fiddle or classical music background. Do not worry if your ear is not good, we’ll work on that along the way. Similar to the beginner class, we will look at the structure of tunes to help you internalize them more efficiently, and use exercises to help develop the ear and stylistic characteristics.
